We absolutely love the Holidays. The rosy cheeks, the good cheer, the quiet-bright nights, the presents, the wassail. We can’t get enough. But when “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” starts blasting in the grocery store in October, by the time Christmas-eve-eve rolls around, we can get a little fatigued with the usual holiday suspects. Our solution isn’t to bah humbug the whole scene, though, it’s to go in search of some untraditional holiday cheer, something new, fresh, perfectly strange, and incredibly merry. Enter: Christmas in Sweden. This wonderfully home-spun Christmas record (courtesy of Scandinavian maven Door Sixteen) is heartfelt and sincere and just weird enough to be the perfect antidote to “Grandma got Run Over By A Reindeer”. God Jul!
