It’s hump day, which means we’re officially halfway through the week. And that’s as good a reason as any to pop the rosé. To be clear, we’ll use just about any excuse (including-but-not-limited-to, apparently, a rainy weekday hovering just above 40 degrees) to get some summer water in our glasses. Yes, we know spring has only barely just sprung. And, yes, we do know that we’re not completely done with bourbon (it’s complicated—the julep is still our number one squeeze come Derby time), but, after this winter, we’re more than ready to rosé the day away. Below, our blush-worthy, 50 shades of rosé guide for summer sipping. Grab those (rosé-colored) glasses and get to sampling.
Annnnd just in case spring hit you hard + fast (like it did our lovely wordsmith Susannah) and robbed you of the time to chill the precious first bottle of the season, see our foolproof “recipe” for Rosé on The Rock. Enjoy…summer awaits.
Rosé on The Rock
1 perfect ice sphere
1 generous pour of the rosé of your choice (We’re partial to Ameztoi Rubentis Txakolina for something slightly effervescent or Domaine Tempier Bandol.)
Serve in an old fashioned glass, natch.
