We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves here, since fall has barely (if at all) begun and we all know how winter likes to linger way past its welcome, but we’re starting to feel a bit of autumn around us. While we’d like to blame it on Starbucks and the early arrival of the PSL, we should also mention that our stores and the New Arrivals page on our site are starting to show a lot of rich hues and warm colors. We’re going to stay away from the pumpkin spice anything and the hot toddies for now (too much too soon) and ease in with the warmth of wine and chocolate. Can you blame us?
We’re fairly certain that sangria is the Eighth Wonder of the World. Red wine is perfect on it’s own, but when it marinades with fruits and absorbs those flavors, we’re given something betterfasterstronger. We’ve been loving the La Perla Maharani in other colors, but when the Bordeaux came out it was a game changer.
Cravings can be so difficult to overcome when you’re battling between sweet + salty. That’s when we reach for dark chocolate with Himalayan Pink Sea Salt. Raaka makes one of our favorites and the specks of white on these PJ’s remind us of the exciting bursts of salt against the dark, rich chocolate.
Natch, go for wines from the Burgundy region in France. Most famous of the reds are Pinot Noirs and we’re loving the Pinot Noir from Bruno Clavelier. It’s a special one, but #everydaylovely and all that.
Forget all of the fancy NYC places. When we want hot chocolate, we go straight to City Bakery– it’s hands down, the best in the city. Perfect, just like this Fleur of England set.
