As soon as spring hits (or let’s be honest, as soon as March appears on our calendars), the words “fresh,” “revive,” and “bright” start popping up everywhere. From fashion, to beauty, to our farmer’s markets we’re overcome with the sensation of a blooming cherry blossom tree after a long (and we mean, looooong) winter. In truth, we’re ready for all-new everything. So with that, here’s some of Journelle’s fave beauty trends for a fresh, bright spring 2014. (You didn’t think we only dreamt in lingerie, did you?)
Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist- It balances and moisturizes our skin-plus it smells gorgeous. We’re trading in our 3 pm coffee break for a spritz of this on our face.
Tarte Cheek Stain– One dab of this on the apple of your cheek and you’ll have the sweetest, flush of pink.
ILIA Lip Conditioner- Our lips are still recovering, moisture-wise, from winter, and these sheer shades are the perfect alternative to our Burt’s Bees. (But we still love you Burt’s!)
Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm- Matte is definitely having a moment, and we’re into the idea of a pencil lip color that actually stays.on.our.lips.
Long, messy bobs– Alexa Chung is always in, but we’re coveting her hair style. Everyone is chopping off their hair and we’re thinking it’s a pretty fresh way to kick off the season.
Deborah Lippmann nail polish in Glamorous Life- Rose gold on our nails. That’s like every trend ever coming together in one.
