Lingerie Inspiration: The Emmys

| Lingerie

You probably know by now that topping our list of not-so-guilty pleasures is drinking wine with our ladies, anything to do with gorgeous dresses, and binge-watching TV. Sooo, obviously we love getting together with our Journelles and watching the Emmys. This past Sunday as we all sat around discussing our loyalties (two of us love Louis CK, most of us really love Game of Thrones, a few others secretly really, really love Nashville, we all love Girls) the main thing we noticed—besides the fact that Jon Hamm (inexplicably) still does not have an Emmy but (obviously, always) looks great even with a beard—was that apparently we’re not the only ones with a healthy appreciation for lingerie. All of our favorite ladies rocked gorgeous lingerie-inspired looks. Naturally, we’re pretty excited about it.

The sleek ice blue silk of Zooey Deschanel’s J. Mandel stunner echoes the silk + plunge of the Damaris Narnia set.

Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka was perfectly girly (and surprisingly glam… wow, Sally Draper) in her tea-length Delpozo frock. Its painterly spanish flowers, sweet aspect, and pops of yellow remind us of Elle Macpherson’s Moroccan Rose.

Oh, My. The impeccable gilt botanical detailing of Kerry Washington’s empress Marchesa gown is decadent, glamorous, and totally gorgeous—making it a perfect match for La Perla’s Donna Agata set.

We love Elizabeth Moss as a blonde almost as much as we love the classic black-and-white old Hollywood vibe of her strapless Andrew Gn, but maybe not quite as much as we love how it pairs up with Chantal Thomass’ Columbine Corset

Perhaps our favorite dress of the night was Claire Danes’ perfect plunging Armani Privé, probably because the stunning lace + neckline feels almost identical to the lovely Lonely Grace.
