Royal Treatment

| Lingerie

Enough about the dress! We were all excited to see Kate Middleton’s choice, too, but now that the Sarah Burton-designed Alexander McQueen gown has been revealed, let’s talk about the lingerie. As you may recall, it was lingerie that brought today’s royal couple together in 2000 at St Andrews, when Kate walked down the runway in a charity fashion show wearing a dress that was as different from today’s as possible.  Given the discretion required of the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, we’re guessing no one will ever know what lingerie was under that gown today, or what she’ll wear on her wedding night.  But since the morning’s festivities awakened the princess in all of us here at Journelle, here’s our selection of some of the best bridal lingerie out there today. When you wear lingerie like this, you won’t just feel like a princess- you might become one…

British designer Florrie Mitton’s Glitterati Garter, made of airy tulle with a hint of shimmer and hand-appliqued lace, is almost too pretty to go under a dress.

The pretty (and comfortable!) India Lace Low-Rise boythong by Eberjey is a perfect choice for any bride.

This sweetly sexy Underwire Balconette chemise from Else will guarantee a romantic wedding night.

Or introduce a pop of color with Chantelle’s gorgeous Icone Demi Bra with stunning lace detailing.

And after all the wedding hubbub, we can’t think of a better way to relax than by slipping on this Townhouse Mini Robe by Matters of Leisure. Glass of champagne recommended, but not required.
